What does the Caterpillar think while it’s in its cocoon listening to the sounds of itself cracking open?
With its guts suddenly oozing out without warning in complete darkness….
What does it think as it feel it’s once soft hair like fur… falling away.. and it’s back bulging emerging strange limbs?
What is it thinking? What is it feeling?
In its complete darkness being.. Completely Undone.
I wonder if it’s scared to death?
All alone in its cocoon…I wonder if it feels like death is eminent?
With its world getting smaller and growing out from itself in complete breakdown.
I wonder if it’s nervous?
Having to give up everything it knows not understanding what’s happening to itself.
Confused, crackling, and ripping itself open from the inside.
Knowing it’s no longer a Caterpillar ..what is it now? All of this in complete…darkness!
I bet it’s nervous and scared.
I wonder if it knows Mother Nature knew it was time.
I wonder if it knows as it lays in its cocoon in complete darkness being undone….that mother herself was preparing it to fly?
